Winter Paradise

Fljót are known for being a beautiful winter paradise and one of the snow heaviest areas in the country. The first ski competition was helt at Fljót and the area has been the main cross-country skiing places in Iceland.  Prime area for snow sledding trips, snow boarding, cross-country and mountain skiing. The ski resorts at Siglufjörður and Dalvík are also a short trip away. The houses are also in between the ski resorts at Tindastóll and Akureyri. All within a 100km radius.
