Nature Sight Seeing

Fljót has a rich wild life of small birds like peacocks up to larger duck types and geeze. They thrive well since there are 5 lakes and many rivers in the area. One of the largest eider duck population in Iceland is around Miklavatn.  Plant growth varies on how heavy the winters are since there is such a variety in the weather, many different plant types follow and possibly one of the widest varieties of plant types in Iceland. Blueberries grow wild around Fljót where guest can go berry picking.
